We congratulate Alejandro Olivo Villa, alumnus of the Economics Undergraduate Program at ITAM, in his recent appointment as deputy general manager of the North American Development Bank (NADBank). The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) announced his appointment, which was approved during the NADBank’s Board of Trustees meeting, celebrated on November 13th and 14th, with the backing from Mexico and USA’s advisors.

The NADBank is a bilateral financial institution established by the Mexican and American governments, dedicated to finance and promote environmental infrastructure projects that benefit the communities in the border region. Through their operations, both nations look to preserve, protect and improve the environment, contributing to the population’s wellbeing in both countries.

During the announcement, the SHCP pointed out that Alejandro’s appointment will strengthen the binational cooperation in sustainable development matters. His work will be strategic, working in collaboration with several institutions to boost projects that promote the well being and economic development in the border.

Alejandro Olivo Villa has extensive experience in global capital markets and fixed income credit analysis. He has held key positions at Moody’s rating agency and has contributed in diverse capacities within the Mexican public sector, which backs his experience to hold this important role. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economy from ITAM and a Master’s in Finance and International Relations from John Hopkins University in the USA.

His experience will be fundamental to coordinate NADBank efforts in this field, positioning Mexico and the US as leaders in environment infrastructure projects and strengthening the cooperative ties between both countries.

Congratulations Alejandro Olivo Villa for this outstanding achievement!
